For the Love of Snow

There are so many things that people love about snow. Watching snowfall is amazing, nature at its best. When I growing up as a kid I always used to wish for snow because I meant I could have lot of fun making snowman with my friends and it is the only time you feel that you going outdoors during winters. So I think its natural and you can say that being a child people develop love for SNOW.Today I read so many quotes of "SNOW". I share some of my favorites.

"January brings the snow, makes our feet and fingers glow."
Sara Coleridge

"Be like snow - cold, but beautiful"
Lana Del Rey
"I miss the snow. I miss looking at it, walking in it, tasting it. I used to love those days when it was so cold everyone else would be tucked away inside trying to stay warm. I would be the only one out walking, so I could look across the fields and see miles of snow without a single footprint in it. It would be completely silent - no cars, no birds singing, no doors slamming. Just silence and snow. "
Damien Echols

"A lot of people like snow. I find it to be unnecessary freezing of water"
Carl
“Thank goodness for the first snow. It was a reminder — no matter how old you became and how much you'd seen, things could still be new if you were willing to believe they still mattered.”
Candace Bushnell

“A snowball in the face is surely the perfect beginning to a lasting friendship.”
Markus Zusak

“Well, I know now. I know a little more how much a simple thing like a snowfall can mean to a person.”
Sylvia Plath
I am a book of snow, a spacious hand, an open meadow,a circle that waits,I belong to the earth and its winter.
Pablo Neruda

Wonder World Inside the Mountain,PAKISTAN

"The salt mines were discovered around 320 BC by the horse of Alexander the Great. While resting, the horse started to lick some stones. One of the soldiers realized it was salt. The largest salt mines in the world are in Poland, Khewra Salt Mines are the second largest. The mine has approximately 220 million tones of salt deposits. The current production from the mines is 465,000 tons per annum. There are 7 levels above the ground and 12 below, with over 40 km of tunnels.50% of the salt is excavated while 50% is left as pillars to support the mines. Spot checking of the salt reveals 99% pure salt and on average results in 96% pure salt. It is said that this is one of the purest forms of salt available."

"The world second largest Salt Mine is located in khewra, Pakistan and it is the only oldest mine in South Asia. Mine has different colors of salt, beef ,transparent, white, reddish. This palce has historic importance and huge production of salt. In different areas there are several ponds of thick salt .When light reflect on that liquid it produce different colors and that view is amazing. Inside the cave they made replica of MINAR E PAKISTAN with colorful bricks, a beautiful mosque a model of sheesh mahal and of mall road Murree

I always wish to visit Khewra mine and finally the day has arrived when I was there with my family. Some places are worth waiting for. It was a bright sunny day of July, when the weather was too hot but inside the cave temperature is too cold. Its amazing NA. It can be accessed by two routes. One is via Jhelum cant, which is a bit longer route, as here you have to cross many villages and then to reach salt mine. It is half plane and half hilly road. While another route is via Lilia Interchange. From Lila Interchange, Khewra salt min are just at 24 km distance. First Pind Dadan Khan would come into the way and then you have to cross khewra's city main bazar and finally you would found yourself at the foot hills of salt mine. It was an amazing experience. After 1 week again, I visited this palace with my cousins and I didn't bore to see this again. Its really mesmerizing. If you ever visit Jhelum ,must visit this palace. It is really inspiring.
